• Preview and Edit images in the Plug-In
• Search images by “Where Used” in PLM

Illustrator users can also use the tool to search for and edit PLM product and image information through convenient text boxes, dropdown lists, and other menu options added by the plug-in.

Version 2 of the plug-in is now available free of charge to new and current Visual PLM.net clients using Illustrator on Mac® or PC.

New Online Backup Service from Novosoft Will Accept Seeding Backups

The seeding process will be based on sending an initial copy of HDD data to Novosoft’s storage center, and then using Online Backup to safeguard subsequent changes.

“Transferring a full drive backup to an online server can take several days or even weeks to get completed, and our users frequently ask if it can be made in a more convenient form,” said Nataly Sigaeva, head of Novosoft marketing department. “The new feature of initial backup seeding will completely change the experience of offsite backups. Instead of copying so much data over the Internet, our customers will be able to create a local snapshot of their drives, physically send it to our storage, and then enjoy the power and simplicity of online incremental backups provided by our service.”

The new service will offer two different scenarios for seeding backups. Existing users of Handy Backup and Novosoft Remote Backup Service will be able to simply send their backup drives to the company’s storage center, by any postal service. New customers will be shipped a special hard drive containing all the necessary instructions and the related software.

“We are close to final agreements with our partners in North America, and actively discussing opportunities with hosting providers in Europe and other parts of the world. These new partnership activities look very promising, and we believe that the result will be greatly appreciated by all of our users.”

“The service is due to launch in spring 2013,” added Ms. Sigaeva.

The enhanced Vincent Associates® website makes searching for a specific product faster and more efficient through the addition of search parameters, including shutter type, aperture, opening speed and the selection of normally open, normally closed or bi stable devices. This robust searching feature provides a quicker, more efficient searching experience for users. The addition of a glossary as a new resource in addition to a more complete product list, allow the customer to better understand the product they are looking for and what features they would be interested in.

Need a custom product for your application? Visitors now have the option of completing a form for custom products instead of having to contact customer service directly, a feature that makes the process easier for the customer. Another customer service addition is the ability to expedite shipping of a product if it is needed sooner than 4-6 weeks.
