    Upper Saddle River, NJ, September 03, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Pentek, Inc., today introduced new members to its FlexorSet™ series of preconfigured solutions: The FlexorSet Model 5973-313 for 3U VPX and Model 7070-313 for PCIe platforms consist of an FMC installed on either of two Flexor FMC carriers with Virtex-7 FPGAs. The Flexor Model 3312 FMC features four 250 MHz, 16-bit A/Ds and two 800 MHz, 16-bit D/As, which are supported with matching digital down converters (DDCs) and interpolation filters as intellectual property (IP) installed in the FPGA.

    “These FlexorSet combinations include the most commonly required IP functions for data acquisition and signal generation applications,” said Rodger Hosking, vice-president of Pentek. "Because of these pre-configured functions and supporting software, our customers can start capturing and generating signals within minutes after opening the box.”

    Each FlexorSet is a multichannel, high-speed data converter sub-system with highly programmable analog I/O signal interface suitable for connection to HF or IF ports of a communications or radar system, and supporting signal bandwidths up to 100 MHz. The built-in data capture and playback features offer an ideal turnkey solution as well as a platform for developing and deploying custom FPGA-processing IP.

    Each includes four 250 MHz, 16-bit A/Ds using two TI ADS42LB69s. A single TI DAC5688 provides a digital upconverter and two 800 MHz, 16-bit D/As. Four banks of DDR3 SDRAM provide a generous 4 GB of storage for data processing. In addition to supporting PCIe Gen. 3 as a native interface, the Model 5973-313 and Model 7070-313 include optional copper and optical gigabit serial connections to the Virtex-7 FPGA for custom I/O.

    “The FlexorSet concept saves us a tremendous amount of time in setting up our recording systems for customers,” stated Chris Tojeira, director of Pentek’s Talon Recording Solutions. “We can integrate these into our recorders straight out-of-the-box and immediately start to capture signals, saving us a tremendous amount of development time and getting us to deployment much faster.”

    Bundling for Seamless Integration
    Both FlexorSets come pre-configured with a suite of built-in functions for data capture, synchronization, time tagging and formatting, all tailored and optimized for the FMC and carrier. This IP enables high performance capture and delivery of data to provide an ideal turn-key signal interface for radar, communications or general data acquisition applications, eliminating the integration effort typically left for the user when integrating the FMC and carrier.

    Development Tools and Software Support
    FlexorSet presents system integrators with an ideal development and deployment platform for custom IP. The Pentek GateFlow® FPGA design kit gives users access to the complete factory installed IP at the source level, allowing them to extend or even replace the built-in functions.

    The Pentek GateXpress® PCIe configuration manager supports dynamic FPGA reconfiguration though software commands as part of the runtime application. This provides an efficient way to quickly reload the FPGA, which slashes development time during testing. For deployed environments, GateXpress enables reloading the FPGA without the need to reset the host system, ideal for applications that require dynamic access to multiple processing IP algorithms.

    The Pentek ReadyFlow® Board Support Package is available for Windows and Linux operating systems. The ReadyFlow C-callable library contains a complete suite of initialization, control and status functions, as well as a rich set of precompiled, ready-to-run-examples, to accelerate application development.

    With a Pentek 8266 SPARK PC development system or a 8267 SPARK 3U VPX development system, work can begin immediately on applications. The SPARK system saves engineers the time and expense associated with building and testing a development system and ensures optimum performance of Pentek boards. Blackbeard sees that role-playing games for mobile has not yet blossomed globally, and thinks one of the reason is because no one has found the right way to capture the PvE/PvP experience gamers are used to in PC games. Kevin and Ryan are confident that they’ve found the right recipe for mobile action RPG in Project Dystopia.

    The developer has implemented a deep learning algorithm into their gameplay engine to learn how gamers control and how skills are being used. The algorithm will adapt these patterns to make the gameplay more intense and unpredictable. The developer is planning on gradually releasing more information on this AI game engine as the launch get nearer.

    “Overwatch has proved that gamers are looking for a new concept. We are developing this game for the global audience. Most of the game systems have been developed, and with optimization process, we are hoping to begin CBT in North America and other selected regions by the end of this year,” said CEO of Blackbeard, Ryan Kang. “Many Call of Duty fans have been asking us to release more artwork. We will begin to release those along with game system pretty soon. The development is 80% complete, and hope to see you all very soon.”

By comparison, official research center CPIIC suggested a even higher 10.53% growth for Chinese hospital drug sales in the same period.

    Despite positive data in the first half, pharma industry research firm Sinohealth predicted the growth of Chinese drug market to be around 7.3% to CNY 1,377.5 billion in 2016, down from 7.6% in 2015 and 13.3% in 2014.

    Moorestown, NJ, September 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Tabula Rasa HealthCare, Inc.’s (TRHC) Chief Strategy Officer, Brian J. Litten, Esq., is scheduled to present a “Stakeholder Perspective” on Enhanced Medication Therapy Management (EMTM) at the Second Annual Medication Therapy Management & Outcomes Summit (MTM Summit). The conference will be held September 15-16, 2016, at the Pier 5 Hotel in Baltimore, MD.

    Since the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit was created by the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003, the concept of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) was mandated to optimize medication therapies, improve outcomes and reduce costs. Stakeholders agree, however, traditional MTM has fallen short of its goals, particularly with standalone Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs), which lack appropriate information and incentives to fuel a meaningful impact on medical quality and costs. Recognizing this, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) has designed EMTM to re-align incentives and foster innovation around MTM.

    TRHC presented at the First Annual MTM Summit in 2015, just after CMMI announced the CMMI EMTM model. Since then, much more information has been learned and much more work has been undertaken to improve the effectiveness of MTM under the EMTM Model.

    TRHC is a leader in MTM innovations. TRHC’s Medication Risk Mitigation Matrix® brings to EMTM the ability to identify those Medicare beneficiaries at the highest risk of an adverse drug event – resulting in more than 100,000 deaths annually - and mitigates that risk through personalized interventions.     Los Angeles, CA, September 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Bright Start released data from their International Student Success Program (ISSP) on Monday, August 22, showing the program's success in dramatically improving a student's GPA and behavior.

    The ISSP was first implemented at an established Los Angeles international high school, which will remain anonymous to protect the identity of those involved. The school's staff at this particular high school had grown frustrated with the pattern of behavioral problems that developed among the international student body, 20 percent of whom had a GPA below the required 2.0 needed to maintain I-20 student visas. Frequently absent, these students rarely completed coursework or participated in class. On one occasion, they were banned from a field trip site on account of their unruly behavior.

    Bright Start's president, Gary Surdam, implemented the intervention program with these students and after six months, improvements had shown. By the end of the first quarter of the following school year all students added at least 2.0 to their GPA and were well above the I-20 requirement. The largest improvement was seen by a student from China who previously held a 0.0 GPA. Within six months of participating in the program, his GPA rose to 3.2. His is an example of how many of these international students have potential to succeed but lack the guidance and motivation to get there.

    "The response from the students were positive and they quickly realized the opportunity and support being provided," said a teacher about the program. "Some students even asked to be in this program to stay on track!"

    Staff and administration noted that, following Bright Start's involvement at the school, the learning environment improved and students were more receptive in the classroom. The participating students have since graduated from high school and are furthering their education at colleges and universities across the U.S.

    Hope for "Parachute" Kids

    The positive results of the ISSP was the focus of an article early this year in the Baltimore based educational magazine Beltway International Advisors. The article addressed the growing number of "Parachute Kids" in the U.S. and how Bright Start's programs were successfully helping these students achieve in American high schools and colleges.

    The term "Parachute Kid" refers to a student sent to study in the U.S. while their parents remain abroad. A phenomenon which began in the 1980's, but has seen a rapid increase among mainland Chinese students since 2009.

    Bright Start Educational Programs demonstrate that to successfully deal with parachute kids it's important to address the specific challenges that face American communities upon the influx of international students. Last year, the San Gabriel Valley headlined the news after a group of international students were of convicted of criminal charges for their behavior among other students. Unlike typical educational intervention programs, Bright Start's ISSP helps international students succeed in the classroom by teaching them how to succeed in the community as well.

    "Gary designed the program to encourage the students in attendance, behavior and academic work. He then administered the program with excellent results," said the principal from the high school previously mentioned. "As a result of this intervention all the seniors graduated and matriculated to the college or university that they had chosen."

    Bright Start Educational Programs have been held across the U.S. since 1995, and have recently reoriented to include international minded training. Mr. Surdam has provided professional development courses in schools throughout China 12 times in the past three years. With the goal of helping more students succeed and revolutionizing international education, Bright Start is seeking to expand their programs throughout the U.S. and Asia.
