    Lod, Israel, November 29, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Ethernity Networks, a leading innovator of network processing technology and products, announced today that it has signed a contract to supply a tier 1 North American aviation and defense OEM with its ENET Switch/Router firmware and software. Ethernity will integrate its firmware on the customer’s FPGA-based avionics platform.

    The contract represents significant short-term revenue for Ethernity, with additional future royalty streams. This agreement is the second recently announced contract with a tier 1 OEM for Ethernity within the past five weeks, following the company’s announcement of October 24 to provide similar networking functionality on a tier 1 OEM’s FPGA-based optical networking platform.

    The two recent contracts also represent a major change in the market in which vendors build programmable FPGA-based platforms instead of ASICs as their preferred vehicle for deployments with multiple applications, including networking functionality. This trend, when added to the new Open Compute Project (OCP) platforms based entirely on FPGAs and the adoption of FPGA-based SmartNICs, should result in greater business opportunities for Ethernity’s patented ENET Flow Processor technology.

    New York, NY, November 29, 2018 --(PR.com)-- In 2016, RegenLab USA LLC (“RegenLab”) filed a patent infringement case against Eclipse Medcorp, LLC (“Eclipse”) in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. RegenLab alleged that Eclipse and its manufacturer copied RegenLab’s patented technology to develop competing products, despite having known about RegenLab’s patent rights for many years.

    Eclipse filed a motion to dismiss for improper venue, arguing that New York is not a state in which it has a fixed place of business. RegenLab opposed the motion by arguing that the home offices of Eclipse’s employees in New York are more than isolated work environments. The District Court stated that RegenLab met its burden of establishing that Eclipse has ratified a regular and established place of business in New York. Accordingly, the case will continue in New York, where RegenLab is seeking triple damages from Eclipse allegedly resulting from the use and sale of the Eclipse PRP product, attorneys’ fees and costs, and a permanent injunction to preclude continued use and sale.

    In 2017, RegenLab filed a separate litigation against Eclipse’s alleged customers in New York who allegedly use, sell, and offer for sale the Eclipse PRP product. RegenLab argued in that case that Eclipse and its customers were separately liable in New York for infringement of RegenLab’s patent rights. RegenLab has now filed papers to dismiss its suit against Eclipse’s alleged customers in order to focus on Eclipse. This allows USB 3.0 SuperSpeed devices to be electrically isolated from a host PC or other peripherals at full performance. The re-clocking design guarantees a stable USB connection at all speeds. The ADQ-USB isolators can be used for the electrical isolation of USB measurement instruments to avoid ground loops to solve problems in industrial and automotive applications as well as in professional sound studios and event and show equipment.

    The ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO isolators automatically detect SuperSpeed (5Gbit/s), High-Speed (480Mbit/s), Full-Speed (12Mbit/s) or Low-Speed (1.5 Mbit/s) connections. The model ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO-PS includes a +5 V power adapter with a lockable 5.5mm barrel connector (bayonet lock) for a safety. For industrial and automotive applications, the ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO-W version can accept 10 to 36 VDC from an external power source via a 2-pin lockable Phoenix-type connector to power devices with up to 900 mA. The external power input is protected against reverse polarity and short-circuits.

    The isolation voltage between PC and USB device is 1kV (continuous) for the model ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO-PS and 1.0kV (< 60s) for the model ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO-W. The ESD protection of the data lines is ensured by transient-voltage-suppression diodes up to ±12kV (contact discharge) and ±15kV (air-gap discharge) according to IEC 61000-4-2. Without an external power supply the USB isolator can source up to 200mA at the device port. For USB devices requiring more current, the external power supply version ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO-W can provide 900 mA according to the USB 3.0 specification. The Alldaq USB 3.0 isolators are compatible with Windows, MAC OS and Linux systems, and downward-compatible with USB 2.0/1.1/1.0 equipment.

    Housed in a robust aluminum housing with rubber bumpers and designed for an operating temperature from -20 to +70degC, the Alldaq USB 3.0-ISO isolators are suitable even for applications in harsh environments. An optional DIN rail mounting kit is also available for permanent installations.

    The ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO can protect computers and USB devices effectively against interference voltages, while also eliminating ground loops. Typical applications include: electrical isolation between measurement instruments and PCs, rejection of ripple pickup in studio equipment, removing differing ground potentials in industrial control equipment, and protection against voltage peaks in automotive set-ups.

Optimized for SWaP (size, weight and power), the rugged sealed ½ ATR recorders are available with multiple input options and up to 30.7 TB of removable SSD storage. These SFF recorders provide real-time streaming data rates up to 4 GB/s for multi-channel, wide bandwidth RF signal recording.

    The Model RTX 2590 provides eight phase-coherent 250 MHz 16-bit A/D channels, for recording up to 100 MHz of RF/IF signal bandwidth per channel with excellent dynamic range. It can sample RF/IF signals up to 700 MHz and provides digital down converters with output bandwidths selectable from 5 kHz to 100 MHz.

    "Our new extremely rugged 1/2 ATR recorder provides real-time sustained recording rates up to 4 GB/s," said Chris Tojeira, Recording Systems director, Pentek. He added, "We can capture the full bandwidth of all eight 250 MHz 16-bit phase-coherent A/Ds in this single compact chassis."

    Extremely Rugged, Sealed Design
    Engineered to operate in the toughest environments with high levels of shock and vibration, the RTX recorder's chassis keeps all electronics sealed from the external environment. The 1/2 ATR chassis uses military standard circular I/O connectors to control RF emissions while protecting the recorder’s electronics from humidity, water, dust, sand and salt fog.

    The Talon RTX SFF chassis further seals the internal electronics from the outside environment by extracting heat through conduction to an air-cooled inner plenum. A thermostat-controlled, removable fan pulls air into the front of the chassis, through the plenum and then out the back of the chassis. Only the fan is exposed to the outside environment, assuring all system electronics are protected in the sealed chassis. The inner plenum can be replaced to provide other cooling options, such as liquid or conduction cooling.

    Designed to operate from -40ºC to +60ºC, these recorders can handle most thermal environments, making them ideal for UAV’s, aircraft pods, tight equipment bays, military vehicles and most outdoor environments.

    High-Speed Data Storage and Security
    Pentek’s QuickPac drive pack is easily removed from the recorder via a set of captive thumb screws on the front panel. An empty QuickPac drive pack can replace a full one for short down times and extended missions. A companion offload system for the QuickPac drive pack is available so the recorder can be redeployed while the recorded data is transported and reviewed via the offload system at a ground facility. The QuickPac drive pack holds up to 30.7 TB of SSD data storage and supports RAID levels 0, 5 or 6.

    For secure applications, a separate operating system drive can be removed, allowing users to extract all non-volatile memory from the system in just a few seconds.

    Mission Computer Capable
    Talon RTX 25xx series recorders with the Intel Core i7 7700K, 7th Generation Quad Core 4.2 GHz processor and 8 GB DDR4 DRAM, are expandable to 16 or 32 GB with enough processing power to act as the primary mission computer when needed. Utilizing the processing power adds slightly to the power budget, but delivers state-of-the-art processing for mission applications and control.

    Ease of Operation
    Pentek's SystemFlow® software interface is integrated into every Talon recorder. The software includes the graphical user interface (GUI) that is used to control the recorder with point-and-click configuration management, a client/server communication interface. NTFS file system support and an application programming interface (API) for custom user applications and control. Signal analysis tools include a virtual oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and spectrogram to monitor signals before, during and after data collection. The system can be controlled remotely via the Gigabit Ethernet interface available on one of the MIL-STD circular connectors.

    The Talon SFF recorders offer an optional GPS receiver for precise time and position stamping. Additional QuickPac drive packs with 3.8 to 30.7 TB are available. Computer I/O on all models includes Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, RS-232 and HDMI.
