This month’s release takes the capability of working with password protected OneNote documents one step further by providing the feature of creating OneNote documents and save them with password. The OneSaveOptions class provides the method setPassword for protecting a Notebook document with user defined password, as shown in the code sample on blog announcement page. This release also extends the feature of password protecting OneNote documents as part of OneNote notebooks. The same OneSaveOptions can be used to specify the document password while saving the OneNote document. For loading a password protected child document of Notebook, use the LoadOptions class to specify the document password. It has also improved the functionality of working with table cells by providing the capability of setting background color of table cells. ISPreview Study Finds UK People Support State Aid for Gigabit Broadband

London, United Kingdom, December 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- How fast is "ultrafast" broadband? According to a new online survey of 2,390 people in the United Kingdom (run between 22nd October and 2nd December 2016), which was conducted by broadband news site ISPreview.co.uk, some 48% of respondents believe that "ultrafast" should signify a download speed of at least 1 Gigabit per second and around a quarter want to see its roll-out being supported by a public investment of GBP15bn or more.

At what download speed should the UK define the start of "ultrafast" broadband?
1Gbps+ (Gigabit) - 48%

100Mbps+ - 24%
None of the above - 1%

Traditionally most industry analysts have tended to think of "ultrafast" as starting at 100Mbps (Megabits per second), although last year the United Kingdom's telecoms regulator, Ofcom, chose to define it as having download speeds of greater than 300Mbps (Megabits per second). Meanwhile others believe that the starting point should be 1Gbps (1000Mbps+).

The majority of respondents (62%) also felt that symmetrical performance (i.e. the same download and upload speed) should be a requirement of any future definition.

"Governments around the world, particularly in the EU and United Kingdom, are in the process of planning future policy for the support of 'ultrafast' connectivity. But how we choose to define its performance could have a big impact on the cost of deployment. For example, Gigabit (1Gbps+) connectivity tends to require a pure fibre optic infrastructure and thus attracts the highest cost due to the need for extensive civil works," said ISPreview.co.uk's Founder, Mark Jackson.

In terms of public investment, a whopping 78% agreed that the Government must be prepared to put public money towards expanding "ultrafast" broadband into rural areas and a quarter of respondents (25%) felt that GBP15bn+ would be needed to do the job properly.

"A variety of reports have estimated that the cost of rolling out a pure fibre optic network to every corner of the United Kingdom could end up reaching GBP25bn, although we have to hope that a big chunk of that would come through private investment. However, the commercial models tend to break down outside of urban areas and that's when the Government may need to step in," said Jackson.

"At present the Government are still laser focused on rolling out 'superfast' (24Mbps+) broadband to around 98% of the UK by 2019. However the new Digital Minister, Matthew Hancock, has already signalled that he believes the future will depend upon 'Gigabit speeds' and 'full fibre' [FTTH/P]. Delivering on that may prove to be difficult and last week's commitment of £400m in the Autumn Statement still falls a long way short, although we're going in the right direction," concluded Jackson.

He added, “IP Network operators and Service providers need to verify that their networks are performing well and meet the Service Level Agreements (SLA) with the customers. To verify Ethernet/IP based networks, current widely used standards are RFC 2544 or Y.1564. However, both these standards are meant for testing at Layer2 or Layer3 (Ethernet or IP layers). Though these tests are necessary, they are not sufficient, because they do not cover testing at TCP layer. Most web based applications like Http, FTP, E-mail etc. run over TCP. Even many modern web applications like Facebook, YouTube and the like use TCP. Even if service provider networks are tested using RFC 2544 or Y.1564, customers may still face problems with TCP throughput.

The TCP throughput may not match the throughput at the Ethernet/IP layer. This is because TCP throughput depends on factors like the end node TCP Window Size, buffer size of intermediate network nodes etc. Also, impairments like latency and packet drops causes TCP retransmissions, severely affecting the TCP throughput. So, there is a gap in the current testing methods and to cover the gap RFC 6349 frame work has been devised.”

Mr.Vadalia further explained, “ExpertTCP™ performs bidirectional TCP throughput measurements in combination with another unit at the remote location (other end of the network), that acts as the TCP server. Many real-world networks are not symmetrical. There may be significant differences between upstream and downstream directions.”

He added, “ExpertTCP™ supports both Upstream (Client → Server) and Downstream (Server → Client) direction testing. Bidirectional simultaneous testing/unidirectional testing can be done. Results are reported for both directions.”

This was implemented for XML project data format but was not supported for any version of MSP’s MPP Format. As always, Aspose team always try to bring improvement to the API functionality when it comes to performance while working with MPP/XML format files. Specifically, Aspose team has come across scenarios in past where recalculation takes lot of time in case there are large number of tasks in a project. This month’s release addresses one such concern where project recalculation took more than expected time. This has resulted in improved performance after the fixing of this problem. This month’s release also fixes several bugs related to API functionality that were reported by our valued customers. This further brings improvement to the overall API stability and expected behavior. This release includes plenty of new features as listed below:

• Add support for saving Tsk.ExternalTask and Tsk.ExternalTaskProject properties to MPP format.
• Custom attribute lookup not selected in MSP, hence no dropdown available for it
• Predecessor information to External Task changed to local
• Resource assignment takes long time to accomplish
• TaskLink not followed while saving project as MPP
• Loading and Saving Project file with large number of tasks takes long time
• Extended attribute value cannot be read from MPP file
• Wrong split task data saved to MPP
• Custom field with custom values in dropdown cannot be retrieved from MPP
• PhysicalPercentComplete not saved in MPP file

AIT Introduces New Prima Protect™ Conformal Coating with Moisture Resistance and Hydrophobicity Similar to Parylene Coating

Princeton Jct, NJ, December 08, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Parylene is the choice for protecting electronics exposed to extreme moisture and water. However, it is costly to apply and not particularly conducive to large volume manufacturing.

AIT is proud to offer its Prima Protect™ conformal coating solution that matches the performance of parylene coating on critical electronics. The molecular structure of CC7130-PR has many similarities to parylene but is supplied in solvent based coating. This coatable “parylene-like” hydrophobic conformal coating can be used as substitution and replacement of standard vacuum deposited parylene. It has extreme low surface tension like that of parylene and provides outstanding moisture and water barrier to electronic and electrical devices used outdoors or near the sea with salt-fog exposure.

Vacuum deposited parylene coatings are cross-linked and prone to oxidation at a moderate temperature of 70℃ and quickly yellows when exposed to UV. Also they cannot be easily removed for reworking once deposited. CC7130-PR is a flexible coating that does not generate stress on electronic devices even at -55℃ while maintaining its molecular structure at high temperature (up to 150℃ and more) and can be removed with suitable stripper solvent.

In side-by-side testing with conventional commercial conformal coatings under the IPC-TM-650 for the IPC-CC830, CC7130-PR not only meets but exceeds the required 65℃ and 90-98% humidity test. At the 100VDC testing, the electrical resistance exceeds 20 GΩ that is well above the 5GΩ requirement at 8 mil spacing.

Under the more extreme testing at 1,000VDC (not part of the required test), CC7130-PR outperformed all of the commercial acrylic and polyurethane conformal coatings with more than 200GΩ (8 mil spacing at 1,000VDC) resistance after the temperature-humidity exposure for over 3 weeks (required testing condition is for 6 2/3days.)

For comparative testing, CC7130-PR was air-dred with a coating thickness of 10-20 micron, while the standard commercial coatings of acrylic and polyurethane were heat cured at 75 micron thickness.

Besides traditional printed circuit board protection, CC7130-PR is also ideal as a moisture barrier coating on critical infrastructure components such as electrical power stations needing protection against corrosion in high voltage contact points. Electrical switches and other controlling electronics in industrial environments require protective coatings that can protect against direct "acid rain" induced degradation. Additionally it can be used in outdoor electronics such as those under the hood of automobiles, LED displays, and solar energy converters that require extended moisture protection.
